Yarn Search

Wow, I like the closeouts at webs.com. That is a good deal. Here are some options

DOLMAN UPDATED

Here is Tahki New Tweed in a discontinued color at half price. Do you think that yellow color is nice? I'm not sure if it is or not.

CITRUS YOKE

I can't find the same yarn online for this one. But here is one options maybe. It says the weight for the recommended yarn is 50g/63 yd, which I'm guessing is how you pick a comparable yarn?

Here is a 100% wool one at 50g/65 yd

Merry Christmas!

It's been a crazy snowstorm here, so I haven't been able to get out to get any yarn. Finally melting off today, but I think the shop is closed today. I'll try to get there tomorrow. I'm thinking of either knitting the Dolman sweater or the Citrus Yoke. But I like all the patterns! I like the Citrus Yoke because I'm excited to try knitting something from the top down. The Dolman one looks more "spring"-ish so I'm thinking about that one because this project might take me a lONG time to finish. I decided to wait and see what kind of yarn I can get and decide based on that. It's too bad that yarn is SOooo expensive! What if I end up making an ugly sweater?

Yarn Search

Yes, yarn can be expensive! You can find cheap yarn at knitpicks.com, also at WEBS (www.yarn.com) and elann.com. I think as long as we match the gauge with a good swatch, we don't have to use the original yarn. Knitting from the top down definitely makes sizing easier. Maybe I can find some other top-down patterns if you want others to choose from.

A new blog for Christmas

I just created this blog for me and my sister Nina to share our knitting projects. I sent her 4 sweater patterns to choose from, and I hope we can have fun posting about our progress.
